QUERENCA an area of 37 sq. kilometres Popular with tourists. The area is mountainous with hillsides covered with trees. The small village can be seen far left, to the centre. The hills are peppered with small villages and hamlets are dotted on the hillsides. The town of Qurrenca is an attractive small town which has the local administration and is popular with visitors. The population as of 2011 was 759 inhabitants. Local economy is based on olives, fruit, tourism. And has an interesting water museum because the area has since roman times a great underground and above ground water retention and irrigation systems.
